yesterday i debated to my sister online if i should get cracking on this video project i had to make for a friend that i was stumped on or go to kundalini yoga (which typically would help me break through creative blocks). she said, “don’t go. if something happens on your way home it could mess up your whole day and you’re on a deadline.”
then i remembered i had a kundalini dvd from a workshop i took back in may, but had never opened. i sat there and did the 40 minute set in my living room and immediately felt better. while i didn’t “work out” work out yesterday, working through a project without stress eating on candy (or eating just to take a break) was amazing! i worked like i never had before. i plowed through anxiety, pushed on when it got tough, and all without food and beating myself up!
i will definitely be putting this in my toolbox to use for my next creative project. seriously, stress eating was a major part of my life for so long. knowing i can do anything with out that crutch, the feeling is so powerful. heck i feel powerful. (in the future i’ll schedule my day to get in a cardio work out too!)
stuck on something or stressed out let me know i can recommend some yoga songs/chants to listen to that are fantastic and relaxing.
